Myself :
Hi! My name is Tobi, I'm pleased to meet you! (Douzo Yoroshiku!)
I have been in Japan for nearly a year now, and I can honestly say I enjoy it here. I have enjoyed many wonderful things about Japan, but the best thing about Japan is it's people!

I have met many wonderful Japanese people and enjoyed helping everyone of them improve their English skills and abilities. Previously, in Adelaide, I worked as an "Accounts Consultant" for the largest telephone company in Australia.
I am currently completing my full teaching qualifications and I teach people of all ages, from beginners to advanced. I can help you with any kind of English you want to focus on, English just for fun, for travel, for business, or even just to achieve a higher TOEIC score!
In my spare time I enjoy making music. ( I have played guitar for 18 years and I studied "Music Technology" at "Adelaide University" in my home city of Adelaide. Later, I studied "Electronic Arts" in Sydney, New South Wales.) -I also enjoy getting out and seeing different cities and places in Tokyo and Japan, and I enjoy eating lots of Japanese food!

I look forward to meeting you. I'm sure we can enjoy talking about lots of things, even if it is only one thing by one thing! (-"Hitotsuzutsu !") Also, I would like to sincerely wish you all the best in achieving your goals in learning English, and in Life!

Warm Regards,

Tobias De Visser

Adelaide :
The City of Adelaide has a population of around one million people. (1,000,000) It enjoys a Mediteranean climate during the warmer months (-Similar to Greece or Italy..) and has a very clean environment. Because pollution is so low, there is a popular tram which runs through the city and goes all the way to the beach.

This makes it possible after a day of work, study or sight seeing in the city to go to the sea to relax after work with a walk on the golden beach sand. After, you can enjoy fine fish and seafood at a nearby Restaurant. Or, you can choose from many varieties of different styles of cooking at the many restaurants which are all close to the sea.
The main street "Jetty Road" will offer you many interesting shops to look in. There are also specialty Icecream shops from Belgium, Italian Coffee shops and restaurants along with many Hotels to enjoy a drink to relax in. There is also a Cinema for those who want to relax with a movie!

If you enjoy the "City life" more, then you will find Adelaide is very easy to get around. Well though out, planned and engineered long before construction began on the city, it is based on a square design. The streets run parallel to each other, so you only need to worry about turning left or right!
The City Centre has a range of things available, and a free bus service is offered, taking all who board on a free tour of the main Tourist spots of Adelaide. (The bus driver gives a free announcement at each stop, and will also happily answer any questions you have!) In the middle of the City is the popular "Rundle Mall."
This contains all the major and popular Departments stores with the brand names you know and love. If you take a stroll down a side street, you may just find a smaller shop that has that unique something you never thought you would find!

Parallel to Rundle Mall is North Terrace, along which, you will find the main Public Library, with free Internet facilities and hundreds of choices of books to read and research about. (The state library on the second floor also has the latest copies of "The Japan Times" available for reading, for those who want to keep up to date with the latest headlines in Japan!
The "City Council Library" on the first floor has a special section of books written in Japanese, just for those who want to do a little quiet reading!)
You will also find the free WiFi Internet access keeps any "Otaku" happy with their PC Notebooks and MacIntosh Laptops! Next to the Library is the State Museum, documenting many interesting facts of history, and historical animals, all the way from the dawn of time. (-Yes, there are Dinosaur Displays!)
A little further along and you will find the "Botanical Gardens." A large, beautiful reserved space in the middle of the city, with many plants, trees and bushes from all over the world inside. Special areas of interest would have to be the glass houses, which are used to keep a humid, tropical environment to grow unique plants in.

Right next to Rundle Mall is Rundle Street , with popular City Restaurants that are also close to Cinemas and Hotels. Perfect for getting something to eat to "recharge" yourself before going to see a movie, or going out to enjoy a drink with friends in a bar or nightclub. Later, Rundle Street also offers many coffee shops for those who need a caffeine "pick up" anytime of the day or night.

For those who want to enjoy the Countryside and Adelaide Hills, I recommend talking to the people with green shirts on in Rundle Mall. The will have a badge on their left hand side which says "Ask About Adelaide!" These people offer free tourist advice.
They also have little booths with free maps, bus timetables and Computers inside to make sure they can answer your questions as honestly and quickly as possible! They can even give you information about how to organize a bus tour to Adelaides' Internationally acclaimed Wineries in "The Barossa Valley." Or, Camping outlets and locations in "The Adelaide Hills."

It may seem a small City to begin with, but once you start to look around, you will realize the choices available are only limited my your own imagination!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my home City, Adelaide.

Sincerely,

Tobias De Visser
